ABOUT THE ARTIST AND TEACHER:
Loretta Domaszewski is a fine artist who believes that everyone is an artist with a different voice. Her emphasis on teaching is to encourage the exploration of each student’s personal, creative potential. Through studio practice and innovative approaches to creative expression the student, at all levels, will develop confidence in their own abilities as an artist.
Loretta has a BFA from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and a K-12 Art Teaching Certificate from Brandeis University. She is a former art teacher at Bozeman High School, Bozeman, Mt., Beall Park Art Center, and Nantucket Island School of Design.
Domaszewski has been an art teacher, workshop facilitator, and artist in residence in Montana throughout the past 20 years. Currently classes for children, youth, and adults are offered in her Loretta Fine Art Studio, #257, at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture. Classes offered in the local community take place at the Cancer Support Community, Aspen Point and Bozeman Lodge, (Senior Independent and Assisted Living Facilities), and at REACH, a work center for the developmentally disabled community. Loretta’s murals and artwork have been exhibited in galleries, museums, and universities nationwide, including Boston, Nantucket, Connecticut, New York City, San Francisco, New Mexico, and Montana.
Fine art paintings are represented locally at the Depot Gallery and Continental Divide; in Ennis, MT., Beaucoup Gsllery, the Ridge Athletic Club, and Betsy Swartz Fine Art Consulting; in Bozeman, MT., and South Wharf Gallery, Nantucket, Ma.
Visit specialized murals and “atmospheric painting” at Montana Tile and Stone, Bridger Kitchens, Hawthorne Elementary School, Sacajawea Middle School, Great Falls Middle School, and in custom homes designed by Jack Ranieri Inc.
Loretta has lived in Bozeman since 1990, where she continues to study the waterways, trails, and natural landscapes, along with her husband and two, teenaged children.
